We are seeking 2 Operational Support Officers who can support the daily operational needs of a large transport company. The role will require presence on a warehouse floor performing administrative tasks such as data entry, client services and general administrative duties in conjunction with freight handling and packing tasks.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following key standards:

  • To provide outstanding levels of administrative support to warehouse staff
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Previous experience in Transport and Logistics an advantage but not essential
  • To present oneself in a positive and professional manner at all times.
  • To aim to build strong and positive business relationships with customers and end users.
  • Be physically fit to lift items up to 15kg
  • Willingness to be adaptable and work in both office and warehouse floor

Transport Allocator

  • $38.00 per hour
  • Large transport company
  • Monday to Friday 6.00am-2.00pm and 9.00am-5.00pm – rotating weekly roster

We are currently seeking an experienced, dynamic and resilient Transport Allocator to join a transport company in Eagle Farm. Reporting to the Transport Supervisor, this role is responsible for ensuring the effective and safe movement of all freight in and out of our yards. The ideal candidate will have a natural ability to positively join a team and roll with the punches, be flexible to handle anything that might come their way and display resilience during busy periods.

Objectives of this Role

  • Respond to phone and email enquiries sent from the client relating to orders, deliveries, and transport.
  • Liaise with internal/ external customers.
  • Co-ordinate deliveries as per company policy and procedure with transport providers in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all Customs and AQIS requirements are checked and completed prior to release of cargo.
  • Complete Warehouse Release document prior to delivery.
  • Complete Load plans prior to deliveries.
  • Update delivery details to internal and external customers.
  • Monitor delivery details.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting when required.
  • Complete other duties given by the Warehouse and Transport Manager.
  • Ensure daily checks are completed.
  • Help warehouse/Airfreight teams with queries.
  • Data Entry
  • Help with End of Month billing (MISC Billing).
  • Sign is all Internal/external customers and visitors.
  • Hand out freight – Fuji
  • Complete Outturns daily.
  • Ensure area is clean and tidy.
  • Maintain the visitor’s log.
  • Maintain ABF log.
  • Upload documentation to secure website.
  • Complete Ad hoc reports as requested.
  • Book AOG orders for Virgin
  • Other duties as directed.
  • Complete investigation about missing freight or escalations.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Knowledge of transport industry
  • Knowledge of relevant industry legislation
  • Understanding of warehouse systems

About the role:

As a container unloader you will be unloading boxes of various products from a well known company Australia wide and stacking those boxes onto pallets to get wrapped. The ideal applicant will have container unloading experience or similar and must be physically fit and be able to lift between 5kg – 25kgs repetitively. You must be able to commit to a flexible roster and be available 5 days a week including occasional overtime.

To be successful:

  • Must be available Monday – Friday
  • Must be reliable & have a good work ethic
  • Must be physically fit

The position will be required you to perform the following duties:

  • Drafting and issuing requests for quotes to suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Collating and reviewing quotes from suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Entering pricing into company spreadsheets and software packages.

  • Preparation of written quotes to present to clients.

As a HR specialist you’ll work closely with internal teams and our casual labour force to deliver tailored support across various operational functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and Supporting investigations by ensuring compliance with Labourpowers policies and legal obligations
  • Provide advice on best practice initiatives to internal stakeholders and clients
  • Develop and update workplace policies, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and industry standards
  • Ensure accurate reporting to Labour Hire Authorities (VIC/QLD) and handle renewal of Labour Hire Licences
  • Manage end-to-end internal recruitment processes, from job creation to candidate onboarding
  • Develop and deliver training programs and implement succession planning initiatives
  • Manage visa-related inquiries and conduct background checks on candidates
  • Handle Fair Work cases, represent Labourpower in disputes and mediate between parties when required
  • Compile and provide the requested information in response to subpoena requests, ensuring all materials are prepared and submitted in advance of the court or submission deadline.
  • Provide reporting on Australian Bureau of Statistics and Gender Equality Reporting
  • Monitor temp-to-perm transitions for candidates working with clients under a consistent and regular pattern
  • Provide clear and accurate interpretation and understanding of relevant awards, enterprise bargaining agreements (EBAs), and industrial instruments
  • Travel to other states as required

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (e.g., Psychology, Industrial Relations, Management, Sociology) or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, with prior exposure to the labour hire industry considered highly desirable.
  • Knowledge/comprehension of Australian employment law, workplace relations, and industrial relations.
  • Understanding of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, and other relevant legislation.
  • Exposure to Employment Hero or similar HRIS platforms is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset to mitigate risk
